Silicon Graphics Developer's Conference - Santa Clara Convention Center
Designed and produced Annual Developer's Forum for Silicon Graphics at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Created a live video link to corporate headquarters for interaction between developers and employees. Worked with client to incorporate stage elements designed by internal Creative Services. A "Bronze Age" theme incorporated period urns and warrior shields and statues offstage. The environment communicated an aura of wonder and magic.
Stage elements were positioned nearly 180 degrees around the audience to provide a more intimate feel and higher sense of involvement. Thrust stage allowed presenter to walk "among" the audience for closer contact. At extreme right and left were 10' long drapes (not shown) on which changing images were projected by super high intensity projectors.
Silicon Graphics Annual Sales Meeting - Westin Santa Clara
Designed, produced, and staged annual sales conference for Silicon Graphics. Worked with client to develop set designs and staging elements such as the 3-D "magician's hand" (13' tall) and the oversized sleeve (20' long) that later revealed a vintage car as a top prize. Developed portable game show booth panels for min-quiz shows following breaks. Rehearsed employees for participation on stage.
Worked with all presenters and several employee group skits to stage all elements as professionally as possible. Also produced comical videotape as meeting opener and made extensive use of image magnification for presenters to be easily seen by large audience.
SunService Sales Meeting - Four Seasons Maui
Designed, produced, and directed business meeting for Sun Micro's service company, SunService. Created computer presentation imagery for all presenters. Produced videotapes for opening and closing sessions. Procurred and directed local AV crews needed for four day meeting. Set up live satellite link for CEO to interact directly with attendees. Rehearsed and directed all presenters throughout 4-day event.
Apple Computer Dealers Tour - San Diego, Dallas, New York
To create a spectacular impact for the National Dealer Meetings for Apple Computer, the first ever, computer-based, seamless video panorama was designed and produced. The 10' x 30' image appeared as a single, stunning panorama. The 2-D animation was created on a single Macintosh computer with custom software techniques and three specially rigged video projectors. Also produced all presenter imagery and rehearsed all presenters, then staged shows in San Diego, Dallas, and New York to introduce the newest laptops.
Measurex Sales Incentive Meeting - Vienna Inter-Continental
Designed, produced, and staged panorama slide show to reward the top achievers of Measurex Corp. at a meeting in Vienna. This production incorporated the graphic elegance of the city, its classical musical history, and high quality slides of the sights and personalities. A 7-minute preview of the city and it heritage was followed by a brief awards ceremony.
Then a second 7-minute segment incorporated photographs of their activities around Vienna framed by an elegant graphic design. This show represented a new marriage of the the creative powers of digital production with the unsurpassed quality of photographic slides and concert quality sound.
